Partnership expands Astaro’s channel in NZ and Australia.
Burlington, Mass. (June 21, 2007) – Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.com), a leader in delivering Unified Threat Management (UTM) security appliances, today announced that New Zealand-based distributor Chillisoft, specialists in providing software solutions to the NZ and Australia markets, has won the local rights to offer the Astaro product line for complete network protection to its existing reseller channel.
Sim Bong, sales manager at Chillisoft, says the company is delighted with the partnership as it adds to its already security-focused portfolio. “Astaro is a complementary solution to what we currently offer to our existing reseller partners; from anti-malware using ESET Nod32, anti-spam with Death2Spam and now unified threat management with Astaro.”
Bong says Chillisoft was looking for a vendor in the UTM space and the offering of a combined hardware and software package suits the New Zealand and Australian markets. “We have investigated a few opportunities and finally decided to select Astaro as our preferred UTM brand. This product offered solutions for both software and hardware appliances well suited for small and medium businesses, as well as large enterprises here.” Chillisoft is looking to promote the brand to prospective resellers and will initially offer both market development funds and good margins.
“Over the next two weeks we will be training our engineers, developing a price list, implementing processes and procedures, then recruiting resellers to become part of the growing brand here,” says Bong. “Our aim is to educate partners to become value-added resellers and specialised to increase revenue and profitability to their business, especially in the present time where margins in hardware are very low.”
