Four innovations from the security specialist: Astaro Security Gateway V7, Astaro Report Manager 4.6, Astaro Command Center 1.4 and Astaro Secure Client 9.0.
London and Karlsruhe (Germany), 19th February 2007 – Astaro Corporation (www.astaro.co.uk), a leading provider of Unified Threat Management (UTM) security solutions, today announced they will be demonstrating ASG V7, the latest version of Astaro’s award winning Security Gateway, plus enhanced reporting and management solutions at CeBIT 2007 (Hall 6, Booth K12). Astaro will highlight the additional benefits these products bring to their SME and large enterprise clients.
“IT departments of all sizes are under immense pressure to provide complete security with limited resources. It’s critical that the administration of security becomes a simple, manageable process allowing time and resources to be freed up to tackle other challenges,” said Walter Schumann, VP Marketing and Sales EMEA. “Astaro’s UTM products integrate a complete set of security technologies, including email security, web filtering, and network protection, together with our reporting and management tools, Astaro provides comprehensive protection whilst dramatically reducing the time spent on administration.”
Astaro will be demonstrating the following products at CeBIT:
Astaro Security Gateway (ASG) Version 7 represents seven years of advanced technology development, customer feedback and current marketplace demands. ASG Version 7 contains a number of new features, including transparent e-mail encryption, SSL VPN, active/active clustering and safeguards for the uncontrolled flood of unsecured instant messaging traffic and peer-to-peer file sharing traffic. The ASG V7 GUI has also been enhanced, for instance with dashboard, installation wizard and enduser portal, to ensure installation, operation and management of the solutions is intuitive and simple.
Astaro Report Manager (ARM) 4.6 collects data from firewalls including outbound network activity and attacks so that administrators can react quickly to unusual events. New features integrated in ARM 4.6 allow users to individually classify events and threat levels based on their unique requirements, and to play back events/alerts that enables security personnel to view the topology of the intruder path. ARM 4.6 provides comprehensive regulatory compliance by adding PCI support to SOX, HIPAA, GLBA and FISMA compliance modules. The new version fully supports ASG V7.
Astaro Secure Client (ASC) 9.0 facilitates secure email and network communication between mobile employees with their respective headquarters. ASC 9.0 now provides Vista support (in addition to Windows 2000 and XP). The Vista client integrates on a single platform and provides a set of security and communication functionalities including personal firewall, EAP, IPSec tunnelling, smart card, Mobile Connect Card, and Wireless LAN support.
Astaro Command Center (ACC) 1.4 — the centralised management application for Astaro Security Gateway UTM appliances — is fully updated to take advantage of the enhancements in ASG V7. Astaro Command Center is designed for the management of hundreds or even thousands of devices, whilst simultaneously providing the complete function set of a fully-fledged central management solution.
